In this moment

I work my jaw

And the words stuck behind my teeth

Fight to get out

I chew and chew

Hoping to get them ready

Warm enough to blow a bubble

So big and pink

With a pop so loud you can’t ignore

That in this moment

I’m just a kid chewing bubblegum

Made of the words

I’ll never say
